Premiere HTS Introduces, The Tower™ – An Innovative Concept in Luxury Seating for Home Theaters and Entertainment Rooms.
by Jeff Lawson — September 09, 2004
With The Tower, Every Seat Is Now the Best Seat in The House. Indianapolis, IN, September 10, 2004 – Premiere Home Theatre Surroundings today introduced The Tower, a new luxury recliner with elevated seat height design that offers a unique solution for many difficult seating applications.
In tune with the ever-changing home interior décor styles and trends, the product development experts at Premiere HTS have created The Tower with both traditional home theaters and multifunctional entertainment rooms in mind.
With its 53-inch seat height, The Tower is ideal for a home theater’s rear row seating. It positions the user substantially higher off the floor than traditional home theater seating, eliminating the need for the risers and platforms that until now have been necessary to obtain an unobstructed view of the projection screen from the rear row.
The Tower is designed to fit in with today’s multifunctional entertainment rooms. “While many entertainment rooms balance projection TV screens with pool tables and game tables such as air hockey and ping-pong, quite often they obstruct the view of the movie screen, especially when traditional seating is used,” says Premiere HTS Marketing Manager Lisa Shapiro. “The Tower can be placed just about anywhere in the room and still provide the user with an ideal sightline to the movie screen. The Tower delivers a hassle-free, ready-to-go entertainment experience right out of the box.”
The Tower’s space saving, “wall hugger” incliner design provides even greater flexibility; it can be positioned close to the back wall, saving significant amounts of space in smaller rooms.
The Tower boasts the same advancements in style, comfort and craftsmanship that all Premiere HTS luxury recliners have long been known for including the company’s low memory-compression, resilient pillow-top seat cushioning that delivers total comfort and support for hours of movie viewing pleasure.
Additional creature comforts include Premiere HTS’ whisper-quiet, motorized recline mechanism that allows for continuously variable recline capability; a light touch, variable lever release for units ordered with the non-motorized recline and large capacity, stainless steel cup holders for beverages.
While it shares the same contemporary styling as Premiere HTS’ popular Savoy model, The Tower can be mixed and matched with many of Premiere HTS’ MovieLounger™ models.
The Tower, like all Premiere HTS models, can be designed in either hand-selected European leathers or Premiere HTS’ luxurious CineSuede™ microfiber fabrics that can be customized in a two-tone design along with a choice of 3 cup holder finishes to best complement your décor.

Update 2016 Tower discontinued due to safety requirements by Legget & Platt. L&P felt like the center of gravity was not keeping its position and could allow a client to lean back to far an cause the chair to topple over. Some manufacturers ignore this potential danger. We recommend a simple riser to raise the back row up 4-6 inches to achieve a more stable position.
